Christopher Pfund has over 28 years experience in the building design and construction industry. As an architect, he was a partner in his own Architecture firm for five years before coming to the US from Australia. He has served as a staff architect for a large East Coast financial institution as well as the Studio Head of a medium sized Architecture firm in the Baltimore area.

As a builder he built his first house shortly after becoming registered as an architect in 1986 in Melbourne, Australia. Since arriving in Baltimore he built houses in Lutherville for the spec market as well as custom contract houses. In 2003 he started a Design Build company called Masterplan Architects and Builders in Towson. In 2008 his firm joined with Burton and Associates to form Burton Pfund Inc, continuing construction under the name of Masterplan Design Build.

Consultant Architect (hired as a consultant to augment the architectural team), responsible for engineering coordination, red line mark-ups, checking, quality control (staff varied between 1 and 6) and detail sketches.

CCG FACILITIES INTEGRATION INC., Baltimore, Maryland (August 1999 to January 2002)

Consultant Architect and Team Project leader responsible for client liaison, program development, concept design, design development, design review and program management for Data Centers built around the US.

            ·     Schedule and direct staff of 12 person architectural, interior design and project management firm.

·         Monitor and interact with staff in design and production of projects to meet quality, budget, and schedule goals. Conduct staff meetings and perform staff reviews.

NATIONSBANK (and its predecessors), Baltimore, Maryland  (January 1990 to January 1995)

            Project Manager, NationsBank Facilities Consolidation Group

            ·     Direct responsibility for concurrent construction management of ten remodel construction projects in Maryland and one new facility in Washington, D.C. during 1995

            ·     Designed and managed the construction of a Small Business
                   Resource Center for downtown.

            ·     Involved in the day to day design of new banking centers, site 
                   feasibility’s, renovations, additions, programming and space planning of
                   corporate office space.

            ·     Conducted concept design and budget feasibility’s for the expansion and
                   remodeling of 60 plus banking centers totaling approximately $14 million.
